Woven in the Vine

Woven in the Vine

“Woven in the Vine” is a visual meditation on the words of Jesus in John 15:5 — “I am the vine; you are the branches.” This piece reflects the quiet beauty of abiding—our lives intertwined with Christ, drawing strength, purpose, and fruitfulness from His life within us. Soft tones and layered textures weave together to symbolize unity and dependence, where the individual strands of our stories find

meaning only when joined to the greater whole. Each brushstroke evokes the gentle movement of growth and grace, suggesting that even in stillness, there is a sacred vitality when we remain connected to the true source.

Note from the artist:

“When I reflect on the word vitality, I think of the way I feel most alive when I’m surrounded by nature — when sunlight filters through leaves or when I notice a vine quietly finding its way toward the light. In those moments, I sense the nearness of Jesus, the true Vine, and how His life flows through everything He’s created, including me. “Woven in the Vine” grew from that personal connection — a reminder that vitality isn’t something I have to chase or create. It’s the quiet strength and renewal that come from simply abiding in Him, letting His life breathe through mine.”

As you linger with this piece, ask yourself: Where in your life might God be inviting you to slow down, to stop striving, and to simply abide — allowing His divine vitality to flow freely through you?
